We are all on a journey of sustainability. Some of us are taking our first steps—some are further down the track. Your contribution may be small or large, either way, it is important. We want you to create a remarkable dish that tastes exceptional, champions Ōra King Salmon, and takes up the challenge of making our world more sustainable.
The Finalists
Finalists will be flown to New Zealand to join the awards celebrations, including a chefs’ produce tour of the Marlborough region. One winner from each region will be announced at the prestigious awards ceremony in Marlborough, the home of New Zealand King Salmon. Your outstanding dish will also have the opportunity to be a part of

Judging Criteria
Dishes will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, taste and how well the dish answers the competition theme; Sustain.
The judging panel is comprised of internationally acclaimed chefs and food writers from across the globe.
The Ōra King Awards
The Ōra King awards were established to drive innovation and creativity among chefs who use Ōra King salmon. The annual competition is open to chefs in New Zealand, Australia, North America and Japan. There is a Best Dish winner awarded for each of the 4 regions.
